September 17th, 2019

We are full steam ahead on preparations for the upcoming OneFPA Network Beta-Test that will begin in
earnest January 2020. Over the past several weeks, FPA chapter leaders met with their respective boards
about applying to participate in the beta-test. The OneFPA Transition Task Force is currently reviewing
all submitted applications and conducting interviews with each chapter that has applied. The Task Force
will make selections on October 15 and an announcement will be made after the selection process has
been completed.

Thank you to all our chapter leaders and chapter executives for your participation in this process. Whether
they applied to participate in the beta-test or not, we are delighted that this process has further opened the lines of communication between FPA and our chapters. If your chapter applied … we genuinely appreciate
the consideration, time and commitment you invested in the application process. All FPA chapters will be
kept ‘in the know’ throughout the beta-test as we provide ongoing reporting on the process, how the
beta-test is progressing, results according to key measurements, and more.

The OneFPA Network Beta Blog: An Inside Look Into the Beta-Test … Coming Soon!

In the spirit of continued transparency throughout the beta-test, we will launch a ‘OneFPA Network Beta Blog’ on October 22 to provide all stakeholders with an inside look at the beta-test from those participating chapter leaders. This new addition to the microsite will be updated frequently with brief recaps, videos and other content from chapter and national leaders so you can hear directly from those leaders – in
an unfiltered manner. They will share their experiences, what’s working, what can be improved and other thoughts to give you a clear picture of the beta-test process.

The blog will also feature quarterly reports, based on the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the
Final OneFPA Network Plan, so you can see whether the vision for a more unified, integrated and aligned organization is moving the needle for the association. Each of these reports will be accompanied by a
quarterly virtual update from leaders on the beta-test experience. If you can’t join us for the live updates,
they will be recorded and posted to the blog as well.

“If we keep doing what we’re doing, we’re going to keep getting what we’re getting. We’re out to
interrupt that and to forge a new path.”      — Darin Shebesta, CFP®, FPA of Greater Phoenix
