“We’re confident this will help our chapter improve and elevate all aspects of chapter management and member engagement.”
―From a Beta-Test Chapter Application
When FPA announced the OneFPA Network plan and vision a year ago at the 2018 Chapter Leaders Conference, organizational leaders stressed the need to better integrate and align the association to offer an elevated member experience. But one of the other main goals of the initiative is to provide the hardworking staff – nationally and locally – the tools and resources they need to thrive in their important roles.
The day-to-day management of the chapters is squarely on the shoulders of the chapter executives who power the work of the association and make the value the chapters provide possible. While they are supported by outstanding volunteer leaders, chapter executives bear a lot of responsibility…from financial management to marketing and event planning to business planning. The OneFPA Network is intended to help support chapter executives by providing enhanced training, support and deeper connections with their peers in other beta-test chapters and national staff.
To dig in a little deeper on how chapter executives will be supported through the beta-test, Molly Balunek, CFP®―chair of the OneFPA Staffing Coordination Committee―provides an overview on the OneFPA Beta Blog on the work her committee will be doing, how she sees chapter executives being supported through their efforts, and how the work will be assessed throughout the beta-test.
And while you’re on the blog, check out this post by Wayne Tillman, CRPC®, president-elect and Membership Director for the FPA of the Triangle (one of the beta-test chapters), shares some of his thoughts on the opportunities his chapter sees in the beta-test and a couple key concerns he sees for his chapter.
